Healthy Pretzel

Here in Germany Pretzels are called “Brezel” and they are really popular. And they are popular for a reason – they are a delicious snack. How are they made? They basically consist out of flour. And that means: carbs, carbs and carbs! I just had to make a carb reduced healthy version. And it turned out great. Here is the recipe!

Ingredients

  • 100g flour
  • 120g Greek Jogurt
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 egg
  • salt flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C / 350°F.
  2. Mix flour, Greek Jogurt, baking powder and egg whites.
  3. Form the dough into a ball using your hands. Use more flour if it sticks to your hands.
  4. Cut into 3 parts and roll them into long and thin stripes.
  5. Form into 3 Pretzels.
  6. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle salt flakes on top.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes. Enjoy your healthy snack!
